Parceling bike through Train

Hi,

I am writing this blog to record my experiance on parcel the motorcycle(royal Enfield classic 350) by train.

I am transporting my vehicle from Kanyakumari to chennai.

I have reached the kanyakumari railway station by my vehicle , around 9:30 AM.

When I asked about the process to an employee , he asked to remove the petrol from the vehicle and asked to check with an officer in the ticket counter to verify the vehicle registration book original (rc) and aadhar card.

After document verification , an employee in the railway station removed the petrol from the bike into a water bottle. Around 9 litre of petrol drained from the petrol tank .

Once these process is completed an employee filled the form for me , with the help of my RC book information.

The data he filled contains, from station, to station, vehicle number, name, and the person who pick the vehicle, etc.

I have taken the form to the ticket counter and there I have paid the amount 1400 rs got cleared from the officer.

In a meen time, railway employees started packing the vehicle.

Once the packaging is completed, they wrote my mobile number and name and from and to station on the package.

I have provided rs 300 for packing the vehicle to the person who packing the vehicle.

Around 12 o clock all the process is completed and I have started to my home through a bus. Hope this information may helpful.
